The 2017 Lincoln Continental is a luxury full-size sedan that will become Lincoln’s flagship vehicle. It will come to US and China market this fall. It offers excellent quality, safety and craftsmanship. Firstly, it was presented to customers last year at 2015 New York Auto Show as Continental Concept. One year after that at 2016 NYIAS Lincoln Company unveiled the tenth generation of Continental. Competitors of the new Lincoln Continental 2017 will be Cadillac CT6, Audi A6, BMW 7-Series and Mercedes-Benz S-Class.

2017 Lincoln Continental review
The 2017 Lincoln Continental will be available in four trim levels: Premiere, Select, Reserve and Black Label. Its design is mainly based on the Lincoln Concept presented last year. Front fascia now comes without split grille which was recognizable by this brand. Its headligth feature five smaller unites with LED stripe daytime running lights. It is available with an elegant powered sunroof covers which covers almost the entire area of the roof. Its front half can slide over the rear that leaves front side open for pleasant driving experience and better feel of spaciousness.
Side look is noticeable by door handles with new E-latch door release and it now offers elegant and easy entrance. New handle design, that integrates it into car’s beltline, enhances its discreet design and it leaves its body side clean. Now, doors open just on a button touch while they are available with power-cinching technology in order to automatically close and secure. There are then 2017 Lincoln Continental colors available: Black Velvet, Burgundy Velvet Tinted Clearcoat Metallic, Diamond Black Metallic, Ingot Silver Metallic, Jade Green Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, Palladium White Gold Metallic, Midnight Sapphire Blue Metallic, White Platinum Metallic Tri-Coat, Ruby Red Metallic and Magnetic Gray Metallic. Black Label package comes with six premium colors available: Chroma Caviar Dark Gray Premium Metallic, Chroma Elite Copper Premium Metallic, Diamond Black Metallic, Ingot Silver Metallic, Rhapsody Blue Metallic and White Platinum Tri-Coat Metallic.
If we consider that it is luxury sedan interior is designed in order to offer full luxury for all occupants. Dashboard is fresh and modern with light leather cover with aluminum and wood inserts. Private jets seating inspire fronts seats design and now they can be adjusted in 30 ways. In order to get optimal comfort and stretch both seats can be adjust to an every individual body shape and weight. These seats now feature heating, cooling and massage function. Rear seats come with cooling, heating, massaging and reclining function. Passengers on the rear seats have luxury and comfort with plenty of available features such as sunshades and climate and audio controls.
There is a full list of available technology features such as Revel audio system. It converts interior of the new Lincoln Continental 2017 into a personal amphitheater and it offers three modes: Stereo, Audience and On Stage. The new Continental is available with Active Noise Control, which with acoustic laminated glass offers comfortable and quiet area inside the cabin. For improved luxury feel and the highest expression there are three Lincoln Black Label themes available: Chalet, Thoroughbred and Rhapsody.
New Lincoln Continental 2017 specs
The base engine for the new Lincoln Continental 2017 will be 3.7-liter V-6 naturally aspirated powerplant, same one that we can find under the hood of the Lincoln MKX. In MKX it is able to deliver 303 horsepower and 278 lb-ft of torque. Second engine is 2.7-liter EcoBoost V-6 with 335 horses and380 lb-ft of torque. Just like the Continental Concept, under the hood of the new Lincoln Continental 2017 will be placed a 3.0-liter V-6 engine with two turbochargers. This “all-new” aggregate is designed to produce around 400 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. There are no words about transmission but we presume that it will probably come with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
All power will be transferred to all wheels with Dynamic Torque Vectoring technology that secures confident stability and handling through adequate torque transfer to the appropriate rear wheel. There are three drive modes available by Lincoln Drive Control feature: comfort, normal and sport, which adapts suspension and steering settings in order to adapt handling and ride. The new Continental comes with available Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection that uses camera and radar technology and with Adaptive steering, Parking Assist system and Adaptive cruise control.
2017 Lincoln Continental price and release date
Release date of the new Lincoln Continental 2017 is set for fall of the 2016. Price depends on chosen trim level and engine and it starts from $45,485 (with $925 destination charge) for Premiere model with 3.7-liter engine and goes up to $69,105 for top Black Label model with 400HP 3.0-liter engine.[t[table "” not found /]r>
