The 2016 Taurus comes in four trim levels: SE, SEL, Limited and SHO. All models share sleek roofline, low profile and long wheelbase. With big overhangs at both ends it comes with 203 inches of overall length. This only enhances its powerful and strong appearance. Both headlights and taillights come with LED technology while there is optional HID technology for headlights. Beside standard colors available in previous year model (Bronze Fire, Caribou, Ingot Silver, Magnetic, Ruby Red, White Platinum) there are three new colors available: Blue Jeans, Guard and Shadow Black.

Under the hood of the new Taurus we can find three engine options. Base engine is 3.5-liter V6 naturally aspirated engine which is able to deliver 288 horsepower and 254 lb-ft of torque. Optional engine is EcoBoost with 2.0-liter of displacement. This single-turbocharged powerplant delivers 240 horses and 270 lb-ft of torque. Those two engines come with SE, SEL and Limited models while SHO models come with 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost twin-turbocharged engine. It pumps out 365 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. When it comes to cost of the 2016 Taurus the base SE models comes with price at $27,000 while the higher models have price of $29,500 (SEL) and $34,405 (Limited).
